About Me

Dr. Margreta Klassen is a psychologist specializing in individual psychotherapy, who maintains a private practice in Newport Beach, California.

Dr. Klassen has over 30 years experience as a marital and family therapist, and 15 years as a counseling, clinical, and developmental psychologist. Among her areas of expertise are stress management, wellness, relationships of various types, and adults molested as children. Her doctorate was awarded by Claremont Graduate University in 1982. Her dissertation research examined the therapeutic and sexual roles in high-quality marriages.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Dr.Klassen has presented at state, national, international conferences, and to general audiences speaking on the topics of stress management, sexuality, wellness, and treatment of adults molested as children. Her practice includes evidence-based treatment. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, Dr. Klassen works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
